About
Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where a few of us kept sending each other screenshots of games we couldn't stop playing. At some point the chat got too long, so we turned it into a site. Nothing fancy — just people who actually finish the games before writing about them.
We don't chase release-day hype. A game gets reviewed only after someone on the team has spent real time with it, usually a week or more, across a couple of different phones so we can talk about performance honestly.,Our picks come from what people around us are actually playing, plus reader suggestions and the odd oddity we stumble on in the store. Genre doesn't matter much to us — a clever puzzle and a messy open-world RPG both earn the same patient read.,We keep opinions personal and clearly ours. If something bores us, we say so. If a free game respects your time, we'll shout about it. The goal is simple: help you decide before you tap install.
Markus Vogel — Markus has been reviewing mobile games since the early touchscreen days and still gets genuinely annoyed by bad on-screen controls. He runs the editorial side and plays mostly strategy and RPGs.
