Best genres for five-minute sessions
Not everyone has an hour to sink into a game. A lot of us play in the gaps — a bus stop, a kettle, a lull in a meeting. Some genres handle those gaps beautifully and others punish you for leaving mid-level.
Arcade racers like Neon Dash Circuit are ideal: tracks are short and you lose nothing by stopping between races. Casual match games are the same — quick to open, quick to pause.
Strategy and RPGs are trickier. They want your attention, and getting pulled away mid-battle can mean lost progress. If you're a burst player, check whether a game saves cleanly at any point.
My rule: match the genre to how you actually live, not to how you wish you played. The most fun I have is with games that fit the five minutes I really get.
